Role Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Motion GEOINT Analyst to support critical intelligence operations in McLean, Virginia. The analyst will perform exploitation, analysis, and production of Motion GEOINT and related geospatial intelligence products in support of Department of Defense and Intelligence Community missions.
The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently in a fast-paced operational environment, producing high-quality intelligence products, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time, 24/7/365 motion video exploitation in a shift-work environment.
- Analyze targets using multiple platforms and Motion GEOINT data sources.
- Exploit Motion GEOINT data, including multispectral, hyperspectral, infrared (IR), synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and LiDAR imagery.
- View, exploit, record, and accurately touch-type live Motion GEOINT exploitation comments in support of ongoing operations.
- Maintain a minimum typing speed of 32 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
- Produce storyboards, vehicle follows, and 360-degree graphics.
- Conduct imagery research and analysis using current and historical hardcopy and softcopy imagery.
- Respond to detailed intelligence requirements and produce accurate analytical findings.
- Produce standard and non-standard NGA imagery analysis products, including summary reports, mission-specific products, database remarks, and daily briefings.
- Collaborate with NGA, NSG, Service imagery and geospatial analysts, intelligence analysts, engineers, and mission partners.
- Archive and disseminate intelligence products in accordance with applicable NGA standards and guidelines.
- Maintain the integrity of mission-partner data while providing timely and accurate GEOINT support.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
- Support team performance and successful execution of mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Completion of formal military intelligence training.
- One of the following experience combinations:
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time, post-schoolhouse intelligence analysis experience, including at least 3 years of GEOINT analysis experience; or
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time, post-schoolhouse GEOINT analysis experience and an Associate’s degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to perform technical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lead smaller teams and assist with mission execution.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality intelligence products using sound analytic tradecraft.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior analysts.
- Experience collaborating with Government customers and mission partners.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-tempo operational environment.
- Willingness and ability to work a 24/7/365 shift schedule.
Required Training
Selected candidates must successfully complete all required initial training, including:
- Motion Imagery Tradecraft Intermediate Level (MITIL): 5-day course; participation required and pass/fail.
- Fundamentals and Program Orientation: 10-day course with a minimum passing score of 80%.
- On-the-Job Training (OJT): Up to 90 days or 45 mission days, consisting of three task-specific subphases.
Successful completion of all required training is necessary to remain eligible for the position.
Security Requirements
This position supports a Special Access Program (SAP) and requires additional customer approval and an in-depth background investigation, regardless of the candidate’s current clearance level.
Candidates must satisfy all applicable security and customer requirements before beginning mission responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Motion GEOINT analysis experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community operations.
- Experience with full-motion video (FMV) exploitation.
- Familiarity with NGA standards, workflows, and production requirements.
- Experience working with Motion GEOINT and related geospatial intelligence data sources.
- Experience producing intelligence products in an operational environment.
- Previous experience working in a high-tempo, mission-focused environment.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior intelligence analysts.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced GEOINT professional with an active TS/SCI clearance, formal military intelligence training, and hands-on experience with Motion GEOINT or FMV exploitation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical tradecraft, technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while supporting mission-critical intelligence operations.
This is an onsite position in McLean, VA, with 24/7/365 shift-work requirements.
