Project/Program Manager - NON IT 1

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Project/Program Manager - NON IT for a contract position in Rahway, NJ. The opportunity will be for three months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities
:
Project Delivery
  • Lead end to end delivery of UX initiatives across design, content, research workstreams.
  • Translate business and product objectives into clear UX scopes, project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, dependencies, and delivery plans.
  • Track progress, risks, and issues; proactively communicate tradeoffs and mitigation strategies.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering/IT, Marketing, and Operations to align UX work with roadmaps and release plans.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups) and bring in UX resources at the right moments.
  • Serve as the primary UX point of contact for delivery, sequencing, and capacity planning conversations.
Resource & Budget Management
  • Support UX leadership with resource planning and capacity management across multiple initiatives.
  • Provide effort and cost estimates for UX work.
  • Balance UX demand across competing priorities while protecting critical discovery and design activities.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Clearly communicate timelines, dependencies, and impacts to leadership and partners.
  • Facilitate alignment discussions when scope, time, or resources shift.
  • Advocate for UX best practices while aligning with enterprise delivery constraints.
  • Ensure consistent documentation, reporting, and communication of UX project status.

Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting or leading projects within UX, product, or digital delivery teams
  • Hands on experience working with UX designers, researchers, and content strategists
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:
  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Design, Human Centered Design, or a related field.
  • Nielson Norman Group certificate or similar
  • Familiarity with Jira, Smartsheets, Figma, Figjam
