Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid, 3Days/week Onsite) Need someone local Duration: 6+ months Contract w/ extension MOI: Video (MS Teams) & In-person Interview Mandatory

Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with Java, Spring Boot experience that is comfortable and understand they will be doing testing work.

Main Technical Skills:

Java and Spring Boot

Primary role performance testing and writing automated test suites

Role:

Develop test plans from high level design documents

Write/execute functional, integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) tests

Review traces/logs to ensure all test paths were covered

Conduct root cause analysis to create detailed defects the development teams can quickly address

Identify and remove all blockers to ensure all testing is completed on time

Work with the QA team to move tests to the regression suite

Skills:

Can understand complex systems and identify and design automated and manual test scenarios to strengthen existing test coverage.

In-depth knowledge of test strategies, e.g. Chaos testing, mutation testing.

Proven experience in elevating test standards and spearheading quality initiatives.

Prior experience in leading a small quality team an advantage.

Excellent communication, documentation and collaboration skills.

Show initiative and demonstrate a willingness to take on challenging opportunities and navigate ambiguity.

A critical thinker who brings vision and insights to how we test and can influence others.

Experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development methodologies

Excellent hands-on test automaton skills in Java with experience in unit, functional and integration testing.

Expert in full stack software development test approaches & frameworks: TDD/BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Spock, Groovy, Cypress.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND over 7 years of technical experience as a software and/or test engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with C

Experience with Linux

Experience with ISO 8583 standard

Experience with the t3:Switch payment testing platform
