Description: About the Role As a Systems Integration and Test Engineer, you will design, develop, implement, and maintain solutions that enable seamless integration and verification of in-house, COTS, and GOTS components, subsystems, and systems. You will translate customer and contractual requirements into robust system-level test strategies that balance technical feasibility, schedule, and cost. You'll collaborate across teams, drive integration activities, and ensure delivery of high-quality, fully validated systems.
Responsibilities - Plan, execute, document, and maintain integration and test solutions for hardware and software components, subsystems, and complete systems.
- Translate customer requirements into scalable test strategies and solutions.
- Define and maintain functional and technical specifications, interface definitions, and system I/O parameters.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software interface issues to ensure end-to-end system integration.
- Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for subsystems and full systems.
- Coordinate test activities across teams, programs, and partner organizations.
- Analyze test results to verify and validate performance, producing clear system-level evaluation reports.
- Author discrepancy reports and lead regression testing to confirm fixes at the software, component, and system level.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools to produce reports, project plans, and work instructions.
- 5+ years of experience developing, modifying, and supporting LabVIEW codebases.
- 3+ years of experience developing, modifying, and supporting TestStand codebases.
- 3+ years of experience in technical problem analysis and resolution.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while driving results.
- Experience leading teams toward successful milestone completion.
Preferred Qualifications - 9+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in measuring electrical parameters for components and subassemblies.
- 5+ years of subject-matter expertise in RF or Microwave systems and subsystems.
- 3+ years developing complex test programs in TestStand development environments.
- Proven experience researching, selecting, and specifying components for test equipment design.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to isolate issues to instruments, fixtures, software, or units under test.
- Proficiency creating engineering documentation including block diagrams, assembly sketches, and parts lists.
- Experience with Corrective/Preventative Action (CAPA) processes and implementation.
- Strong background in deriving test requirements from design or system-level requirements.
- Ability to identify and document corrections for discrepancies between drawings and actual hardware.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to build effective relationships across multiple organizations.
- Experience preparing executive-ready technical presentations, charts, and trade studies.
