Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Responsible for compliance with all health, safety, and environmental management system guidelines. Follow standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively. Conduct failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures. Monitor equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes. Work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization. Manages a large-scale project and provides technical expertise to project teams. Leads deployment of a large-scale project that is cross functional in nature with visibility to company executives. Creates and executes strategic action plans to improve department KPI. Trains peers on department specific theory/methodology. Demonstrates technical expertise through internal projects and mentoring. Manages multiple mentoring relationships with engineer's junior to them to help them develop technical skills. Clearly communicates information and data analysis to senior leadership with respect to their department through presentations, proposal justifications and itemized action planning. Reviews and consults for designs of experiments (DOE) setup and results interpretation. Participates in TFT and provides thought leadership.

Skills and Qualifications

Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 84 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Requires 60 months of experience involving the following:
1. Thin film deposition mechanisms, including Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) processes such as PECVD, LPCVD, SACVD, HDP-CVD, and PEALD;
2. Process development and optimization;
3. Equipment hardware and chamber configuration for CVD/ALD processes;
4. Defect analysis and yield improvement techniques;
5. Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE);
6. Root cause analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA);
7. Advanced semiconductor process integration and interdependencies.

The current base salary range for this role is between $158,000 to $178,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
