Location: Hybrid in Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area
Duration: 12-Month Contract (renewable for another 12 months)
PeopleSoft Business Analyst:
Our client is seeking a PeopleSoft Business Analyst to support and enhance a complex enterprise ERP environment spanning both Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials (FSCM). This role blends hands-on technical development with business partnership, requiring someone who can troubleshoot issues, drive system improvements, and translate functional needs into scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating across both functional and technical domains.
PeopleSoft Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end support and development for PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM modules, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders (Finance and HR) and technical teams to gather, translate, and refine requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including debugging complex defects and implementing long-term solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain customizations, enhancements, and integrations using PeopleTools technologies.
- Manage the full application lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Lead or support system upgrades, including PUM images, PeopleTools updates, and tax/regulatory changes.
- Develop and maintain reports using BI Publisher, PS Query, and nVision to support business operations.
- Proactively assess system performance and recommend improvements to optimize functionality and scalability.

PeopleSoft Business Analyst Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience supporting and developing within PeopleSoft environments, ideally across both HCM and FSCM.
- Strong technical expertise with PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, and SQL-based tools.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including performance tuning and root cause analysis.
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience supporting system upgrades, including PUM images, PeopleTools updates, and tax updates.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as BI Publisher, PS Query, and nVision.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and approval processes within PeopleSoft.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments (e.g., AWS) and integration tools such as Component Interface is a plus.
