Description :

-           Responsible for reviewing and complying withpolicies and procedures.

-           Responsible for data analysis and databasemanagement. Involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of datadictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.Knowledge of or gain knowledge in the utilities and production tools used fordata storage management to support the Applications Proficiency in PowerShellor Python.

-           Designs logical and physical databases reviewsdescription of changes to database design to understand how changes to be madeaffect physical data base.

-           Establishes physical database parameters. Usesstructured query language (SQL) to define database objects using databasedefinition language (DDL) and control access to database objects using datacontrol language (DCL). Language descriptions and specifies identifiers ofdatabase-to-database management systems or directs others in coding databasedescriptions. Calculating optimum values for database parameters, such asamount of computer memory to be used by database, following manuals and usingcalculations. Specifies user access level for each segment of one or more dataitems, such as insert, replace, retrieve, or delete data. Specifies which userscan access databases and what data can be accessed by user. Tests and correctserrors, and refines changes to database.

-           Enters SQL to create production database. Usesdatabase utility programs and 3rd party utilities to monitor databaseperformance, such as distribution of records and amount of available memory.Directs programmers and analysts to make changes to database management system.

-           Reviews and corrects programs. Answers userquestions. Confers with coworkers to determine impact of database changes onother systems and staff cost for making changes to database. Modifies databaseprograms to increase processing performance, referred to as performance tuning.Workers typically specialize in one or more types of database managementsystems.

-           Aiding in the planning, development,maintenance, and monitoring of integrated database systems, and ensuring thatthe conceptual and design phases of new applications are consistent with thestructural parameters within the database environment.

-           Evaluates users'' requests for new data elementsand systems, incorporates them into the existing shared data environment, andprovides technical assistance. Coordinates the use of data to ensure dataintegrity and control redundancy, loads databases, and reorganizes as needed.Performs data modeling and prototyping. Performs logical and physical datamodeling, designs relational database models, and creates physical data modelsfrom logical data models. Performs security recovery procedures. Determines andimplements database search strategies and storage requirements. Maintains data dictionaryensuring uniformity of definitions and sets standards for use of datadictionary. Monitors database performance and recommends efficiency improvements.Creates test database environment for applications section, including thecreation of necessary libraries and procedures.

-           Executes the procedures necessary to save,retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures withinestablished procedures. Assists with determining, implementing, and enhancingstandards on database security and with monitoring agency disaster recoveryprocedures and systems. Assists with the installation of database software andwith analyzing, designing, and implementing databases. Assists in benchmarkingand threshold testing of databases and with establishing and controllingnecessary database security. Assists in the selection of database managementsoftware. Experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming work.

-           Knowledge of the principles, practices, andtechniques of computer programming and systems design; of computer operations,systems, and procedures; of project control and cost estimating techniques; ofcomputer programming languages; of data processing flowcharting techniques; ofdatabase structures and theories; and of current database technologies.

Database Administration Backup & Recovery:

  1. Required. 3–5 years - Implement native, cloud-native, and hybrid cross-site backup and recovery strategies. Installation & Configuration:
  2. Required. 3–5 years - Configure SQL Server on physical hardware, VMs, and cloud IaaS virtual machines.

Security & Compliance:

  1. Required. 3–5 years. Enforce data masking, encryption (TDE), and Row-Level Security for internal customers.

Database Maintenance:

  1. Required. 3–5 years. Manage automated indexing, statistics, and integrity checks across fragmented environments.
  2. PowerShell / CLI Automation: Required. 2–3 years. Automate hybrid environment configuration using PowerShell, dba tools, and Cloud CLIs.

Performance Tuning & Monitoring Hybrid PerformanceMonitoring:

  1. Required. 2–3 years. Analyze metrics across physical servers, IaaS VMs, and PaaS endpoints.
  2. Query & Index Optimization: Required. 3–5 years. Identify bottlenecks, rewrite T-SQL, and resolve locking/blocking issues.

Hybrid Infrastructure Management:

  1. Required. 2–3 years. Manage connectivity between on-premises SQL Servers and cloud environments.

Azure SQL / AWS RDSS:

  1. Required. 2–3 years. Configure Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, or AWS RDS SQL Server. Cloud Migration: Preferred. 1–2 years. Move workloads from on premises to cloud using Azure Database Migration Service or AWS SMS.

CI/CD & Database Versioning:

  1. Preferred. 1–2 years. Schema deployment automation via Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions using Flyway or Redgate. Multi-Tenant
