Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 11 years of professional software development experience.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Java and C#
Experience with modern frameworks and technologies such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, and .NET
Hands-on experience developing solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle)
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and related tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Jenkins), including pipeline development, release management, and orchestration
Proficiency with scripting languages, preferably Python or PowerShell
Experience developing in both Windows and Linux environments
Ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
Experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining solutions within cloud environments (e.g., AWS or Azure)
Strong documentation skills, including developing concepts of operations and standards of practice for tiered maintenance support
Ability to interface with senior leadership and provide regular status update
Experience with SQL and relational databases, including:
o Database design and administration concepts
o CRUD operations and query optimization
o Implementing SQL commands within application code
o Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
o Understanding of data protection and data loss prevention considerations
Experience developing applications intended to operate across multiple networks or environments, including:
o Disconnected, restricted, or differently classified networks
o Designing applications with portability, security boundaries, and deployment constraints in mind
o Adapting development practices to meet varying compliance, accreditation, and operational requirements
Desired Skills
Hands-on experience working within AWS/Azure/cloud environments
Hands-on experience developing with Python
Hands-on experience developing with Ansible
Hands-on experience developing with Opentext NNMi
Hands-on experience developing with Cisco NSO
Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud
Deployment technologies like Ansible, Chet, Puppet, etc.
Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
