Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to support the growth of custom and standard semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will combine strong business development capabilities with technical expertise in areas such as Design Automation, FPGA, ASIC Design, or semiconductor packaging.
This position will support customers across the military/aerospace, industrial, and medical markets, working closely with customers and internal engineering teams to identify requirements and develop technical solutions.
Additional responsibilities include evaluating customer requirements, estimating effort and expenses for potential new business, supporting business case development, and identifying opportunities to improve internal design methodologies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Identify and develop new customers who may benefit from semiconductor products and engineering services while expanding business with existing accounts.
Develop long-term customer relationships by understanding and interpreting technical and business requirements.
Develop technical and cost proposals for prospective opportunities.
Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
Meet established sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
Support marketing activities through participation in trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate how proposed products and solutions meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with sales professionals, engineers, and other technical experts throughout the sales process.
Lead and support pre-sales technical engagements.
Help close business by providing technical sales support throughout various stages of the sales cycle.
Work directly with customers to understand high-level requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
Evaluate technical requirements and develop realistic customer forecasts.
Support business case development for new opportunities.
Contribute to the development of overall ASIC architectures.
Support IC Design, Test, and Product teams throughout product development.
Travel up to 30% as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline; Master''s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5+ years of semiconductor industry experience. Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of some experience.
3+ years of experience in Design Automation, FPGA, and/or ASIC Design.
Experience working with military/aerospace and/or industrial customers is highly desirable.
Proven experience documenting and interpreting technical requirements.
Experience with systems incorporating technologies such as:
Linear and switching voltage regulators
High-side and low-side power switches
Digital drivers
Amplifiers
ADCs
SPI and CAN interfaces
Microprocessors
Thermal considerations
EMC considerations
Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal design fundamentals.
Strong technical documentation, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated team player with strong leadership qualities, integrity, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency with common business applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
