Position Summary
Micron Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support our injection molding operations.
This is a hands-on equipment maintenance role focused specifically on injection molding presses and the equipment that supports the molding process, including robotics, dryers, chillers, thermolators, conveyors, material handling systems, and other auxiliary equipment.
The ideal candidate has worked directly on injection molding equipment and is experienced troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems in a plastics manufacturing environment.
This is not a machinist position. Hands-on injection molding equipment maintenance experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipmentTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues on molding equipmentDiagnose injection molding press failures and make repairs to minimize production downtimeMaintain and repair robots, dryers, chillers, thermolators, conveyors, material handling equipment, and other molding support systemsTroubleshoot sensors, motors, relays, heaters, controls, and other electrical componentsSupport installation, startup, relocation, and commissioning of injection molding equipmentPartner with Process Technicians to identify and resolve equipment-related molding issuesIdentify recurring equipment problems and recommend long-term corrective actionsComplete preventive maintenance work orders and maintain accurate equipment recordsSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and uptimeFollow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirementsSupport ISO 13485 quality system and documentation requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWork closely with Process Technicians, Production, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams
Qualifications
Required Experience
High School Diploma or GED3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including injection molding or plastics manufacturingHands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molding presses and auxiliary equipmentStrong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repairs in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read basic mechanical and electrical schematicsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyAbility to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Experience
Experience with Engel, Arburg, Sodick, Toyo, or similar injection molding pressesExperience with molding support equipment such as robots, dryers, chillers, thermolators, conveyors, and material handling systemsExperience with automation and electrical controlsFamiliarity with preventive maintenance or CMMS systemsExperience in a medical device or ISO 13485 manufacturing environment
What We\'re Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on maintenance technician with injection molding experience who can troubleshoot equipment issues, identify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical problems, and safely get molding equipment back into production.
