Job Overview:
Pay Range: $60.00hr - $65.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Deep understanding of mandatory invoice content under 14 UStG and the legal definition of an E-Rechnung versus other invoices.
- Knowledge of Germany s principles for proper management and storage of books, records, and documents in electronic form (GoBD).
- Understanding of the 8-10 year immutability requirement for archiving exact raw XML/structured files.
- Experience managing audit readiness for German tax authorities (Finanzamt).
- Ability to distinguish between mandatory domestic B2B transactions, excluded cross-border/B2C transactions, and special provisions such as small-value invoices under 250.
- Mastery of XRechnung pure XML standard (CIUS) used in public sector (B2G) and automated B2B processing (UBL 2.1 and UN/CEFACT CII syntaxes).
- Expertise in ZUGFeRD (v2.0.1+ / Comfort Profile) hybrid format combining PDF/A-3 with embedded EN 16931-compliant XML data.
- Understanding of Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 syntax alignment with XRechnung.
- Experience mapping classical EDIFACT INVOIC structures to EN 16931 data elements to preserve legacy EDI setups.
- Knowledge of designing communication channels without a central government portal including direct email, Peppol Access Points, AS4 protocol, SFTP, and REST APIs.
- Experience configuring Peppol Directory lookups, Access Point routing, and Participant ID schemas.
- Experience implementing Schematron and XML Schema (XSD) validators into ERP extraction/ingestion pipelines.
- Ability to handle edge cases where hybrid PDFs conflict with embedded XML.
- Experience auditing vendor and customer master records for valid German VAT IDs (USt-IdNr.), Tax Numbers (Steuernummer), and official company identifiers.
Responsibilities:
- Support the e-invoicing German mandate within the Oracle ERP environment.
- Map ERP billing structures (AR) and purchase order/invoice entry processes (AP) to standard EN 16931 elements.
- Configure Subledger Accounting (SLA), tax engines, and master data extracts to reliably populate mandatory elements.
- Redesign AP workflows to eliminate manual data entry by programmatically parsing incoming XML files directly into ERP invoice workbenches.
- Configure 2-way/3-way PO matching automation based on incoming XML line-item metadata.
