Snowflake Data Engineer / DataFlow Platform Engineer

Job Description

• Support the development, enhancement, and adoption of the enterprise DataFlow Platform.
• Build and enhance platform capabilities for data ingestion, transformation, scheduling, data quality, and observability.
• Develop reusable platform components to accelerate onboarding to Snowflake, Databricks, and other enterprise data platforms.
• Work closely with Platform Engineering, Product Management, and Tenant Onboarding teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
• Develop new data connectors and enhance existing transformation engines.
• Improve platform reliability, monitoring, operational excellence, and overall platform performance.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support cloud-based applications, services, and infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, code, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to define implementation standards and best practices.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of cloud-based applications and enterprise platforms.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve infrastructure-related problems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement cloud solutions.
• Ensure cloud solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and optimized for business needs.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing platform capabilities.
• Support the complete application lifecycle, including development, deployment, maintenance, and production support.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on experience in data ingestion, ETL/ELT, data transformation, scheduling, and orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in large enterprise hosting environments.
• Good understanding of Application Hosting and cloud infrastructure architecture.
• Knowledge of distributed messaging architectures.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls, Routing, and Network Security.
• Experience with cloud security, authentication, authorization, PKI, encryption, and security best practices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DataFlow Platform engineering.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of connected or embedded systems and communication protocols.
• Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring tools.
