Role- Salesforce BA

Location- Houston Tx (onsite- local preferred)

Business & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners and Value Stream Leads to understand business needs and objectives.
• Act as the onsite functional point of contact for Salesforce-related requirements, enhancements and production issues.
• Facilitate requirement discussions, workshops and solution walkthroughs.
• Proactively identify process improvement, automation and Salesforce optimization opportunities.
• Translate business problems into clear Salesforce business and functional requirements.

Requirements & Backlog Management

• Create detailed BRDs, functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements clearly articulate business objective, business value, process impact and expected outcome.
• Own functional clarification of stories through grooming and development.
• Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks and gaps early.
• Work with Product Owners to prioritize backlog based on business value, urgency and risk.
• Ensure stories are sufficiently detailed and functionally validated before technical development.

Salesforce Functional Expertise

• Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities across Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
• Good understanding of standard Salesforce functionality, configuration and platform capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate whether a requirement can be addressed through configuration, Flow, automation, customization or integration.
• Understand Salesforce data models, objects, relationships, security, reports/dashboards and integrations.
• Experience working with Salesforce releases, enhancements, defects and production support.

Agile Delivery & MSP Responsibilities

• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily discussions, demos and retrospectives.
• Conduct functional pre-grooming and ensure open business questions are resolved before technical grooming.
• Work closely with offshore developers, Tech Leads, Architects and QA teams.
• Provide functional clarification during development and testing.
• Support UAT planning, execution and business sign-off.
• Support release planning and production readiness.
• Participate in incident/problem management for business-critical Salesforce issues.

Required Skills

• 6-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Salesforce environments.
• Strong hands-on functional knowledge of Salesforce.
• Experience with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, BRD/FRD creation and user-story writing.
• Excellent understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong experience with Jira and/or similar backlog-management tools.
• Experience with UAT, acceptance criteria and business sign-off.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with US-based business and IT stakeholders.
• Experience working with offshore development/support teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
