Business Analytics Specialist

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analytics Specialist to support enterprise reporting, dashboard creation, and operational performance insights. This role is responsible for turning complex business data into clear, actionable information that helps leadership understand trends, identify opportunities, and improve performance across multiple locations. This position is onsite in Las Vegas, NV, Monday-Friday.

• Develop and maintain dashboards tracking core operating metrics such as sales, margin, labor productivity, guest counts, and site-level profitability.
• Analyze KPI trends and identify drivers behind variances versus budget and forecast.
• Support recurring and ad hoc reporting using standardized data models.
• Manage and validate data flows from site-level systems into centralized reporting datasets.
• Perform basic cohort and trend analysis to evaluate pricing, product, and operational initiatives.
• Present clear, data-driven insights to Operations and leadership teams during regular business reviews.
• Maintain data accuracy and consistency across locations and reporting structures.
• Support business users in understanding and utilizing dashboards effectively.

Requirements

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, large dataset handling).
• Basic SQL (simple queries, data extraction, validation).
• Python for light data manipulation, automation, or analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into business insights.
• Comfortable working with operational and financial performance data.
