Summary

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Integration Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting healthcare data exchange solutions using FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources). The ideal candidate will have experience working with FHIR APIs and integrating healthcare systems to enable seamless, secure, and standards-compliant data exchange.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support healthcare data exchange solutions using FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources).
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs based on FHIR standards for exchanging clinical and administrative data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to implement interoperability solutions across healthcare systems.
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation between source systems and FHIR resources.
  • Support integration with EHR/EMR systems and other healthcare platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data exchange, API performance, and system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, security, and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain documentation for integrations, workflows, and technical specifications.

Required Qualifications:

·         Minimum 3 years of experience within the last 5 years in designing, implementing, or supporting healthcare data exchange solutions.

·         Hands-on experience with FHIR and FHIR-based API integrations.

·         Strong understanding of RESTful web services and API development.

·         Experience with data formats such as JSON and XML.

·         Familiarity with healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks.

·         Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience with HL7 v2/v3, CCD/C-CDA, or other healthcare data standards.

·         Experience working with EHR systems such as Epic Systems, Cerner, or similar.

·         Knowledge of integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody Integration Engine).

·         Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) in healthcare environments.

·         Understanding of OAuth2, SMART on FHIR, or other healthcare security frameworks.
