About this Job:

MedStar Health is looking for a Radiological Technologist to join our team at the following locations:

Medstar Washington Hospital Center:

  • PRN
  • Full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Full-time Monday-Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm

Southern Maryland Hospital:

  • Part-time weekends day shift 32 hours per week
  • Part-time 8 hours (1 day per week - 1 day per week)
  • Full-time Nights

Urgent Care

  • PRN
  • Full-time

As aRadiological Technologist, you willoperateconventional,fluoroscopic,and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body areas according to physician specification and radiographic protocols.

Primary Duties:

  • Prepares patient for radiograph. Lifts patient onto and off examination table. Properly positions patient for X-ray exam, adjusts immobilization devices and affixesappropriate radiationshielding.

  • Assistsin the administration of drugs and/or contrast agents. Calculates and selects proper technicalfactors anduses correct film/ screencombinations. Processes and develops film.

  • Enters data into the Radiology Information System (MARS) for medical records, billing,statistics,and quality assurance purposes.Providesguidance to radiology students as needed.

  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition. Ensures that the exam roomcontainsthe proper supplies for the diagnostic procedures.Performs various clerical tasks including answering phones, relaying messages, and scheduling exams.etc.

  • Reports equipment malfunction to supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Associatedegree in applied sciencepreferred.

  • Previousjob experience.

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification

This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Yr.
