Senior QA Analyst – Accessibility Testing

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst with strong experience in software quality assurance and accessibility testing. The candidate must have a deep understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 standards, along with hands-on skills in manual testing, test automation, SQL, and API testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business requirements and develop comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and test documentation.

• Perform manual testing and create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.

• Test applications for accessibility compliance against WCAG 2.2 AA and Section 508 requirements.

• Use accessibility testing tools and methodologies to identify and document accessibility issues.

• Write SQL queries to validate database records and application data.

• Perform API testing and web service validation.

• Identify, document, track, and retest defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, project managers, and other IT teams to resolve issues.

• Participate in Agile development activities and communicate testing progress, findings, and risks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.

• CPACC, WAS, or an equivalent accessibility certification, with a copy available for submission.

• Thorough understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

• Five years of experience in:

  • Manual testing methodologies and best practices.

  • Creating and maintaining automated test scripts.

  • SQL queries and database validation.

  • API testing and web service validation.

  • Developing test plans, test cases, and documentation from business requirements.

  • Translating requirements into comprehensive testing strategies.

  • Tracking and managing defects throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Accessibility testing tools and methodologies.

  • Section 508 standards and validating WCAG and Section 508 compliance.

  • Testing applications for government accessibility compliance.

  • Agile or similar collaborative development environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five years of experience supporting government applications or public-sector technology environments.

• Experience testing compliance-driven or grant management systems.
