Summary

Position Description:

Position Title - Simulation Engineer (Control Systems)                 
Job Location - Mossville, IL, USA                 
Bill Rate Range - $35 to $38/hr                 
Estimated Duration (In Months) -13                 
Work Model - Onsite
Must have Skills/Attributes - Blueprints, Sensory Testing, Troubleshooting                 
Shift - M to F, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Required Education
• Bachelor''s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
• Years of experience: 5 years of relevant engineering development work (Master''s degree = 3 years of experience accepted).
• Internships do count toward experience.

Required Skills
• Familiarity with software development processes.
• Experience reading and understanding prints for components and wiring harnesses.
• Experience writing and tracking requirements. Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of integrating sensors and compute, including tradeoffs.

Soft Skills (Required)
• Great teamwork, communication, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to learn at an accelerated pace.
• Willing to put in the time to get the job done.
• Experience presenting design concepts, reviews, and results.

Job Responsibilities
• Modify existing databases and database management systems, or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of databases to the management system, or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish the project.
• Translate customer / commercial requirements into system requirements.
• Decompose high-level automation & autonomy features into system-level functional requirements, maintaining clear traceability and documentation.
• Define system architecture, interfaces, and integration strategy across machine subsystems.
• Collaborate on design approach and trade-offs.
• Develop features integrating across hardware, software, sensors, and control systems.
• Create and track FMEAs.
• Cross-functional coordination with machine systems, software, digital teams, validation, and product support.
• Issue resolution through triage and troubleshooting.
• Track schedule, deliverables, and technical risk.
