Title: Tech Lead / Solution Architect (Pismo on AWS)
Location: Charlotte, USA / Iselin, NJ (Remote)
Type: Contract
Role Summary:
- Own the squad's target-state architecture on Visa Pismo and design the strangler layer to Hogan
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design solutions on Pismo Core Banking, Payments, and Corporate DDA modules
- Architect the anti-corruption layer and dual-write integration with Hogan
- Define API contracts, event schemas, and non-functional requirements (≤50ms FedNow latency, 99.99% uptime, FIPS-140 KMS)
- Make, document, and govern technical decisions; lead architecture reviews
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Pismo or directly analogous core (Thought Machine Vault, 10x, Mambu)
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification
- Deep expertise in event-sourcing, CQRS, Kafka/MSK, and ISO 20022
- Secure-by-design and regulatory-grade engineering
Nice-to-Have:
- Pismo platform certification
- Prior strangler-pattern execution on a Tier-1 core migration
- Owns architecture on Pismo, designs integration with Hogan, defines APIs/NFRs, and leads architecture governance and decision-making.
