Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a
Software Developer (Java/Python) for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Financial Services clients in
Dallas, TX. Hybrid schedule, onsite 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, deploy, and maintain large-scale applications supporting Mortgage Capital Markets (MCM) initiatives
- Support integrations between upstream and downstream enterprise systems
- Build and enhance back-end systems and APIs
- Develop and support UI/front-end components using Angular, React, and JavaScript
- Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues
- Support application deployments and CI/CD processes
- Work with messaging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Collaborate closely with IT leadership, developers, and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Participate in Agile development activities and technical design discussions
- Support test automation, monitoring, and SRE-related initiatives
Required Skills: - 8+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale applications with complex integrations
- Strong hands-on development experience with Java and/or Python
- Experience developing and consuming Web Services and APIs
- 4+ years of experience with data technologies and databases including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, and/or Elasticsearch
- Experience writing, reading, and executing SQL scripts
- 2+ years of front-end development experience with Angular, React, and JavaScript
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform, and Kubernetes
- 3+ years of experience with test automation, including SRE monitoring and synthetic monitoring
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Skills: - Experience working in Mortgage Capital Markets environments
- Experience with job scheduling and orchestration tools such as CRON, Tidal, or Airflow
- Experience using Dynatrace or similar application/infrastructure monitoring tools
- Experience working in Agile environments with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Strong production support and troubleshooting background
