Data Governance Analyst Easton, PA (2 days onsite weekly)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to support our enterprise data governance initiatives within a modernizing manufacturing environment. This role will help ensure that data across the organization is accurate, consistent, well-documented, and trustworthy. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical teams to develop and maintain high-quality data assets and governance processes.

This position is ideal for someone early in their data governance career who is eager to grow, influence data practices, and contribute to building a strong data-driven foundation for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with data owners, custodians, and business partners to resolve data quality and governance issues
2. Support the development and implementation of the enterprise data governance framework
3. Assess and monitor data quality across key datasets; help identify, document, and track data issues and improvements.
4. Develop and maintain metadata including business definitions, data dictionaries, and data ownership information.
5. Support administration of the enterprise data catalog
6. Document data lineage across systems and processes to improve transparency and trust in data flows.
7. Assist in developing and maintaining data policies, standards, and governance best practices.
8. Support data stewardship programs, helping business owners understand responsibilities and governance processes.
9. Collaborate closely with business partners and technical teams to resolve data issues and improve data quality pipelines.
10. Produce governance reports and KPIs, communicating progress and impacts to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

1. 5 solid years of experience directly aligned with the responsibilities of the position.
2. Understanding of core data governance concepts such as data quality dimensions, metadata, lineage, data stewardship, and data policies.
3. Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
4. Ability to work cross-functionally and translate between business and technical teams.
5. Experience working with enterprise data warehouse or data platform environments.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms.
2. Experience with or familiarity with metadata/catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon, Atlan)
3. Basic knowledge of SQL or Python.
4. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
5. CDMP certification (Associate or Practitioner) is a bonus but not required.
