About the RoleAs a Systems Engineer, you will test and maintain demo vehicle(s) assets, working closely with Delivery Team, Scope Lead, Project Manager and Vehicle Fabrication Team to deliver the next generation audio technology from proof-of-concept stage to mature production-ready product.
What You Will Do- You will test and maintain field vehicles, support physical in-vehicle installations, system bring-up, software and system testing.
- Join meetings with Delivery Team in India to flash latest software versions, support troubleshooting, data collection, and issue triaging.
- Perform test and verification activities according to requirements, standards, and use-case scenarios.
- Identify and log SW defects in JIRA through Structured, Exploratory, and Regression Testing
- Identify, plan, and perform endurance-based testing or life testing to verify functionality over a long period of ignition cycles
- Participation in internal and external test drives and or customer demos domestically or internationally.
- Support proof of concept activities, working closely with Product and fabrication team
What You Need to Be Successful- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3+ years automotive embedded testing experience
- Technical ownership, structured and analytical thinking as well as ability to think outside the box.
- Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardware
- Familiar with Jira, Confluence and MS Office
- Knowledge of standard industry protocols: CAN, Bluetooth, etc.
- Team player skills with a "can do" attitude
Bonus Points if You Have - 5+ years testing experience in automotive infotainment systems
- Experience working on R&D and innovation projects.
- Experience in audio electronics within the field of automotive (A2B, Amps, CAN)
- Knowledge in ALM is beneficial.
What Makes You Eligible- Willingness to travel up to 20-40%, domestic and international travel.
- Ability to work from Novi, MI office with flexible hybrid options.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN's sole discretion, no more than four (4) active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.

Salary Ranges:$ 90,750 - $ 133,100
