As a Sr. Software Engineer in our Display Products Department, you will design, develop, and verify innovative display software solutions across multiple platforms, including bare metal applications and RTOS environments. What You Will Do:
  • You will design, develop, document, test, and debug complex low-level software.
  • You will create middleware, application software, and systems containing complex logical and mathematical algorithms.
  • You will perform hardware and low-level software integration, resolving complex issues around timing, signal slew rates, device configuration, power-on sequences, data synchronization, and more.
  • You will design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software product development.
  • You will coordinate with other project team members to ensure consistency, smooth operations, and compliance with program and product requirements.
  • You will effectively communicate technical progress, risks, opportunities, and necessary design alterations to software leads.

  • You will learn Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes.
  • You will learn about the latest in embedded C++, BSP software design, and graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Vulkan, or A661.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Embedded C++ or Platform Level Software experience.
  • Low-Level Software Integration and Verification experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes, namely DO-178.
  • BSP software design and development experience.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and an understanding of their application in safety-critical avionics systems.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
