Key Responsibilities
- AI Intake & Triage
- Serve as the primary intake point for all AI-related requests across the organization
- Evaluate and triage incoming AI use cases for completeness, feasibility, and strategic alignment
- Partner with requestors to clarify objectives, expected outcomes, data requirements, and success metrics
- Identify gaps in submissions and ensure all required documentation and information are completed
- Governance & Process Management
- Shepherd AI initiatives through established governance, risk, compliance, and approval processes
- Quality and completeness of AI intake submissions
- Alignment of AI initiatives with strategic priorities
- Efficiency and transparency of governance processes
- Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement
- Reduction in redundant or low-value AI efforts
- Ensure adherence to organizational AI policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, data governance, security, and technical teams as needed
- Maintain visibility into the AI request pipeline, statuses, and decision points
- Strategic Alignment & Advisory
- Assess AI opportunities against enterprise strategy, priorities, and value frameworks
- Challenge and refine requests by asking critical questions regarding business value, scalability, and risk
- Advise stakeholders on whether AI is the appropriate solution versus alternative approaches
- Identify opportunities to consolidate, scale, or reprioritize AI initiatives
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, product owners, and technical teams
- Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding
- Facilitate discussions, workshops, and reviews to shape strong AI use cases
- Program Oversight & Continuous Improvement
- Track AI initiatives from intake through approval and into execution handoff
- Develop and maintain standardized intake frameworks, templates, and evaluation criteria
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the AI portfolio
- Continuously improve AI governance processes and stakeholder experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Data Science, or related field
- AI program management
- Practical AI literacy and risk awareness
- Strategic stakeholder communication
- AI governance framework experience
- Responsible AI and regulatory knowledge
- Experience in highly regulated industries
- 5+ years of experience in program management, strategy, consulting, or technology delivery
- Demonstrated experience working with AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives
- Strong understanding of AI concepts, capabilities, limitations, and risks (e.g., bias, data quality, model governance)
- Experience with governance frameworks, risk management, or compliance processes
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align AI initiatives with business goals and enterprise priorities
- Critical Thinking: Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking difficult, high-impact questions
- Program Management: Skilled in managing complex workflows, stakeholders, and decision processes
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business language
- Influence & Partnership: Builds trust and credibility across diverse stakeholder groups
- Analytical Mindset: Evaluates use cases for feasibility, value, and risk
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience establishing or operating within AI governance frameworks
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles and regulatory considerations
- Background in healthcare, finance, or other highly regulated industries
- Certifications in project/program management (PMP, PgMP, Agile) or AI-related fields
