Assistant Transit Management Analyst I

POSITON SUMMARY:

The position will provide essential reporting systems and data support for MOW Engineering's Defect Reduction Program by maintaining and optimizing the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. The role will manage and validate structural defect data across subway, elevated, viaduct, bridges, overpass, open-cut structure, vent, special and station infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Producing monthly "A" priority defect reports, vent defect analyses, dashboards, and data models using Excel and Power BI.
  • Supporting data integration from field inspections and consultant reports and updating consultant defect data for special inspections in EAM.
  • Troubleshooting EAM system issues and improving data workflows and processes.
  • Providing C&D with updated defect lists from the EAM database.
  • Collaborating with engineers, inspectors, and EAM leadership to improve data governance, defect quality, and tracking accuracy.
  • Closing defects in the EAM system promptly after repairs to ensure MOW Engineering has accurate and current defect summaries for analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration,

public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics,

architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting,

transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human

resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management

or in a related area, or

2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:

1. A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business

administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering

technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science,

finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban

planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations

research, security management or in a related area, and one year of full - time

satisfactory professional experience working in budget administration, accounting,

economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods

analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation,

personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program

planning or administration, security management; or general administration; or

2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite, internet and mobile applications, MicroStation, and nonconformity databases.
  • Knowledge of structural inspection principles for concrete and steel.
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings and technical correspondence.
  • Thorough understanding of construction design and code requirements across multiple city agencies.

Final salary is determined experience, skillset, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.
