Summary
Job Title: Extreme Fiber Network Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ 100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $60/hr. on C2C & $50/hr. on W2
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Extreme Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience supporting large enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Extreme Networks switching, Extreme Wireless, Extreme NAC, SD-WAN, routing, and enterprise network operations/implementation.
This is a highly hands-on role requiring the candidate to work onsite in Chandler, AZ and support network implementation, operations, troubleshooting, complex network changes, and incident management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot large-scale enterprise network infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on support for Extreme Networks switches and Extreme fiber/network infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot ExtremeSwitching, ExtremeWireless, Extreme NAC/Control, and Extreme SD-WAN environments.
- Support enterprise routing and switching technologies including OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, VLANs, STP, and related protocols.
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN issues.
- Work with network implementation and operations teams to execute network changes and infrastructure upgrades.
- Execute complex network changes and service requests in accordance with established change-management procedures.
- Monitor enterprise network environments and investigate actionable incidents using network monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot Azure Networking issues and connectivity.
- Coordinate with internal support teams, vendors, and other technical teams to resolve complex network problems.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and change records.
- Work with tools such as ServiceNow and SolarWinds for incident, monitoring, and network operations activities.
Required Skills
- 10 15 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Extreme Networks / ExtremeSwitching.
- Experience with Extreme fiber/network infrastructure.
- Experience with ExtremeWireless.
- Experience with Extreme NAC / ExtremeControl.
- Experience with Extreme SD-WAN.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching.
- Hands-on experience with OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS.
- Strong network troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.
- Experience supporting large enterprise network environments.
- Experience with Azure Networking and troubleshooting.
- Experience executing network changes within formal change-management processes.
- Strong understanding of client/server and Internet networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
