Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking an experienced Technical Writer (Content Developer) to support our AI SDLC Transformation program.

Summary:
This role owns all documentation, training materials, and knowledge assets that enable approximately 8,500 developers to adopt AI-enabled development workflows. Working closely with the Developer Advocate, you will translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance that accelerates adoption and reduces time-to-value. This is not a traditional API documentation role. You will shape how developers learn and adopt AI capabilities across a large-scale enterprise transformation. You will be documenting AI-driven development workflows, not just APIs. Success requires understanding how developers think, solve problems, and apply tools in real scenarios.

The Technical Writer Content Developer AI Enabled SDLC will act as the architect of the learning ecosystem, creating:
* Workflow playbooks
* Training curricula
* Prompt libraries
* Developer portal content

REQUIREMENTS:
* Certifications in technical communication (STC, CPTC) or instructional design
* 5+ years of technical writing experience in software development environments
* 3+ years creating developer-focused documentation (APIs, SDKs, guides, etc.)
* 2+ years building training curricula or instructional content
* Proven ability to understand and document complex technical workflows, with experience working closely with engineering teams
* Candidates without direct development experience must demonstrate the ability to produce content that engineers trust and validate
* Proven experience managing large, complex documentation ecosystems
* Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with rapid iteration
* Strong understanding of SDLC and DevOps practices
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (sufficient to write and validate code examples)
* Experience with documentation-as-code (Markdown, Git, static site generators)
* Familiarity with documentation platforms (Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, ReadTheDocs, etc.)
* Experience with video tools (Camtasia, Loom) or willingness to learn
* Understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI-assisted development tools (preferred)
* Exceptional writing skills with ability to simplify complex topics
* Strong information architecture and content organization abilities
* Empathy for developer experience and learning styles
* Experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, Cursor, etc.)
* Background in instructional design or adult learning principles
* Experience with enterprise knowledge management systems
* Familiarity with prompt engineering practices
* Experience in large-scale technology transformation initiatives
* Industry experience in telecom, financial services, or regulated environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
