Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-profile migration from an on-premise Avaya contact center platform to the NICE cloud contact center solution. This role will be responsible for driving the end-to-end migration strategy, coordinating internal business and technical teams, managing the implementation partner, and ensuring a successful transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong project delivery experience in cloud migrations, contact center technologies, vendor management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end migration from Avaya to the NICE cloud contact center platform.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery.
- Drive the "2-in-a-Box" partnership model, coordinating closely with internal teams and NICE consultants throughout the implementation.
- Oversee the deployment of a new cloud-based customer support contact center solution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT leadership, and NICE, ensuring accountability for project deliverables and timelines.
- Partner with Customer Support leadership to drive organizational readiness, user adoption, and change management activities.
- Establish project governance, executive status reporting, issue resolution, and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate integration activities with Salesforce CRM and other enterprise systems.
- Ensure migration activities follow cloud best practices for security, scalability, reliability, and business continuity.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Customer Support, CRM, and Business teams.
- Provide regular executive updates on project health, milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
- Proven experience leading cloud migration projects.
- Experience managing contact center/call center technology implementations or migrations.
- Experience with Avaya and/or NICE contact center platforms.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, implementation partners, and consulting organizations.
- Experience integrating contact center platforms with Salesforce CRM.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience migrating from Avaya to NICE CXone or similar cloud contact center platforms.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or other Project Management certification.
- Experience with cloud-based customer service platforms and digital customer engagement solutions.
- Experience leading organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
- Background supporting enterprise customer support or contact center operations.
