Overview

·       Seeking an experienced Varicent Developer to support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the Varicent Incentive Compensation platform. This role is focused specifically on Incentive Compensation delivery and administration across multiple lines of business.

·       The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Varicent development and configuration, including data imports, calculation logic, reporting, workflows, scheduling, and custom scripting. Candidates do not need experience with every Varicent module, but they must demonstrate strong experience supporting incentive compensation processes within Varicent. Varicent is commonly used to automate incentive compensation calculations, reporting, workflows, and compensation administration processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, develop, and support Varicent Incentive Compensation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data import processes used to load compensation and performance data into Varicent.
  • Build, enhance, and troubleshoot compensation calculation logic and business rules.
  • Develop, maintain, and support reports, dashboards, and compensation outputs used by business stakeholders.
  • Configure and support workflow processes related to compensation administration and approvals.
  • Maintain and update scheduler jobs and automated processes supporting recurring compensation cycles.
  • Develop and support custom Python scripts used for automation, integrations, data transformations, and process enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data, calculation, reporting, and system performance issues.
  • Partner with business and technology teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to support compensation plan execution and ongoing platform enhancements.
  • Support production compensation cycles, payout validation, and ongoing system maintenance.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Varicent development and configuration experience.
  • 5+ years of technical design experience supporting enterprise applications and business solutions.
  • 5+ years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and/or other data management, reporting, and query tools.
  • Experience supporting Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) solutions.

Hands-on experience with:

  • Data imports and integrations
  • Compensation calculations and business rules
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Workflow configuration
  • Scheduler/job management
  • Python scripting and automation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to data, calculations, and reporting processes.
  • Experience supporting production compensation processing and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale incentive compensation programs.
  • Experience working across multiple lines of business and complex compensation structures.
  • Knowledge of commission, incentive, bonus, or sales compensation administration processes.
  • Experience with compensation data validation, reconciliation, audit support, and controls.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or other environments that require strong controls and governance.
  • Banking or Financial Services experience is a plus, but not required. Candidates from other industries will be considered if they possess strong Varicent and Incentive Compensation experience.
  • Experience operating within environments that require rigorous change management, auditability, data governance, and SDLC discipline.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The strongest candidates will have proven experience using Varicent to support Incentive Compensation delivery and can directly support:

  • Data Imports
  • Calculations and Business Rules
  • Reports and Analytics
  • Workflows
  • Scheduler Updates
  • Custom Python Scripts
  • SQL/Data Querying and Reporting

Candidates with experience in Banking or Financial Services may bring additional experience working within highly controlled and regulated environments; however, industry experience is secondary to demonstrated Varicent and Incentive Compensation expertise.
