Software skills CAD: CATIA / Siemens NX / Creo / SolidWorks Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word Data/analysis: Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar can be a significant advantage Drawing/GD&T: experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings Engineering & quality tools GD&T ASME Y14.5 i. Tolerance stack-ups FMEA 8D problem solving 5-Why Fishbone DOE Statistical Process Control (SPC) Capability studies (Cp/Cpk) Design of Experiments
Reliability testing Root-cause analysis

Skills Required:
Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering Project & communication skills
Lead cross-functional engineering issues
Communicate with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, suppliers, and program teams
Manage multiple engineering changes simultaneously
Track timing and deliverables Present technical information to management Negotiate design tradeoffs Document decisions clearly Escalate problems appropriately
Work under tight production deadlines Mechanical design & engineering
3D CAD: CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks, or similar
2D drawings and GD&T
Tolerance stack-up analysis i. Materials and manufacturing processes Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA)
Design validation and testing i. Basic engineering calculations and structural analysis Product development
Understanding the product development lifecycle from concept to design to prototype to validation to production
Design reviews and engineering change management
Root-cause analysis and problem solving
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Design verification/validation
Prototype and pre-production builds Release/change management
Engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs

Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field Two (2) years of electrical module assembly experience Understanding of electrical module DFM requirements Understanding of product development workstreams- specification development, design, build, validation, and industrialization activities. In-depth knowledge of developing engineering specifications for assembly processes Good written and communication skills.
