Systems Administrator - Remote / Telecommute

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on data platforms, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of cloud-based systems through infrastructure automation and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage AWS cloud environments including VPC, subnets, NACLs, security groups, and secure connectivity.
• Deploy and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and EKS.
• Support AWS-based data platforms and data solutions in production environments.
• Implement and manage containerized workloads using AWS ECS and Fargate.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation scripts using Ansible and Python.
• Write and maintain Linux Bash scripts for system automation and administration.
• Utilize AWS CLI for configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps toolchains.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and configurations.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 10 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on AWS cloud administration experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and EKS.
• Hands-on experience with containers using AWS ECS and Fargate.
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Ansible and/or Python for automation.
• Strong scripting skills in Linux Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and tools like Jenkins.
• At least one AWS certification related to administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake.
• Familiarity with additional automation tools and scripting languages.
• Experience with tools such as Crucible or similar code review platforms.
