Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Migration & Development

• Perform lift-and-shift rehosting of full-stack .NET systems.

• Execute application analysis, design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, and unit testing.

• Rehost n-tier solutions including:

  • ASP.NET Web Forms

  • MVC applications

  • Web APIs

  • Thin-client applications

  • Domain-driven services with Entity Framework

2. Technical Collaboration

• Work closely with Project Managers, DBAs, Product Owners, SMEs, and stakeholders.

• Support System Testing and UAT phases.

• Provide issue analysis and resolution options to leadership.

3. Tools & Technologies

• C#, JavaScript, SQL

• ASP.NET Forms & MVC

• Entity Framework

• IIS (Windows Servers)

• MS SQL Server

• SSRS

• Visual Studio

• MS SQL Server Management Studio

• Azure DevOps (Git Repositories)

• OOD, TDD, DDD

• MVC / MVVM patterns

4. DevOps & Code Management

• Use Azure DevOps and Git for:

  • Source control

  • Code check-in/check-out

  • Associating commits with work items and defects

• Follow Department change management and infrastructure standards.

5. Security & Compliance

• Ensure all deliverables meet State security requirements.

• Adhere to established code and deployment standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of progressively complex experience in application development.

• At least 4 years in a Technical Lead role.

• Strong experience in:

  • .NET application development (C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs)

  • MS SQL Server database development

  • Application migrations / rehosting

  • Azure DevOps & Git

• Bachelor’s Degree (required).

• Advanced skills as a lead application developer (per required qualification matrix).

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

• Experience in large-scale application migration projects.

• Comfortable working in Agile delivery models.

• Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple application migrations in parallel.
