Full Stack Engineer (Java, Angular & AWS)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to join an experienced engineering team supporting a critical, external-facing training application used by lenders and trainers within the capital markets space.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to new feature development, application enhancements, automated testing, and production support. The ideal candidate has strong experience across Java/Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS, with a focus on application quality, scalability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS.
• Build responsive frontend components and integrate them with backend REST APIs.
• Develop backend services, business logic, integrations, and microservices.
• Implement automated tests across UI and backend layers, including functional and regression testing.
• Validate user stories end to end and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support application deployments, production troubleshooting, performance improvements, and reliability.
• Participate in Git/GitHub workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, object-oriented programming, and modern Java features.
• Experience developing applications using Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and microservices.
• Practical experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, components, services, and API integration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, or related services.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for application functionality and backend services.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright or other UI automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Kafka, messaging systems, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, application observability, and production support.
• Exposure to capital markets, lending, or financial services applications.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
