Job Title: Senior Golang Developer (AWS Microservices) – Banking
Location: McLEan/Richmond, VA - 5 Days onsite

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Golang Developer with strong expertise in AWS cloud-native microservices architecture within the Banking / Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing highly scalable, secure, event-driven systems supporting real-time financial transactions and digital banking platforms.
This role requires deep experience in Go, AWS services, distributed systems, and secure API development in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop cloud-native microservices using Golang.
Build scalable RESTful and gRPC APIs supporting high-volume financial transactions.
Design event-driven architectures using AWS messaging and streaming services.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
Ensure compliance with banking security standards (PCI-DSS, SOC2, SOX).
Optimize systems for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency in AWS.
Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Architecture teams to implement best practices.
Participate in production support, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

Technical Requirements
Backend & Microservices
8+ years of strong hands-on experience in Golang

Expertise in:
Microservices architecture
REST & gRPC services
Concurrency patterns in Go
Middleware and API gateways
JSON / Protobuf
Experience implementing circuit breakers, retries, rate limiting, and resiliency patterns.

AWS Cloud Expertise (Must Have)
Strong hands-on experience with:
Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS / EKS
Storage: S3, EBS
Databases: RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL), DynamoDB, Aurora
Messaging & Streaming: SQS, SNS, Kinesis, MSK (Kafka)
Security: IAM, KMS, Cognito, Secrets Manager
Networking: VPC, API Gateway, ALB/NLB, Route 53
Monitoring: CloudWatch, X-Ray
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform / CloudFormation
