Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer. This position is 100% onsite in Lisle, Illinois.

Summary:
We are looking for an exceptional Full Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building modern software and leveraging AI to transform how products are designed, developed, and delivered. This is not a traditional software engineering role. We are seeking engineers who view AI as a force multiplier, someone who uses modern AI development tools daily to write better code, solve problems faster, automate repetitive work, and continuously improve software quality. In this role, you will work across the full technology stack, helping design and build scalable applications using C#, .NET, AWS, GitLab, and modern front-end technologies while collaborating closely with Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
* 4-6 years of professional software development experience
* Experience building both front-end and back-end applications
* Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
* Experience with Git-based source control workflows
* Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
* Strong proficiency developing applications with C# and .NET
* Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Experience:
Experience with one or more of the following:
* ASP.NET Core
* Blazor
* React, Angular, or Vue.js
* Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Docker and Kubernetes
* GitLab for source control, Agile planning, and CI/CD
* Entity Framework Core
* Microservices architecture
* Automated testing frameworks
* Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar)
* AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock, or similar)
* Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM integrations, or AI-powered application development

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
