HP Nonstop Systems Administrator

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll directly impact the stability and performance of critical systems. You will:

• Manage and optimize HP NonStop (Tandem) systems, gaining deep expertise in a niche, high-demand technology
• Ensure continuous uptime by monitoring performance, availability, and system capacity
• Strengthen system resilience by performing backups, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing
• Support and enhance mission-critical applications that businesses rely on every day
• Troubleshoot complex system and application issues in real time, sharpening your problem-solving skills
• Manage user access and security controls, helping maintain compliance and system integrity
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on integrations and system improvements
• Create and maintain documentation and runbooks that keep operations running smoothly

What you bring

Required:

• 3+ years of experience with HP NonStop / Tandem systems
• Experience working with high-availability, fault-tolerant environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills across systems and applications
• Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning tools
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and integrations
• Ability to communicate clearly and perform well under pressure

Nice to have:

• Background in financial services, banking, telecom, or similar industries
• Familiarity with transaction processing systems
• Understanding of security and compliance frameworks
• Experience working with or modernizing legacy systems
