Job Description

Technical Experience Description (TXD) - FPGA Design Engineer (Avionics)
  • Experience in FPGA development for aerospace and avionics applications using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
  • Strong expertise in FPGA design lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture definition, RTL coding, synthesis, place & route, timing closure, and verification.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA tools such as Xilinx Vivado/ISE, Intel Quartus, Microchip Libero, ModelSim, and QuestaSim.
  • Proficient in developing simulation testbenches, functional verification, timing analysis, regression testing, and debugging of FPGA designs.
  • Experience in FPGA and processor-based circuit card design, schematic capture, board bring-up, hardware debugging, and lab validation.
  • Knowledge of avionics communication protocols including ARINC 429, ARINC 664 (AFDX), MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, and PCIe.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards including DO-254, DO-160, ARP4754A, EASA/FAA guidelines, and Military Specifications (Mil-Spec).
  • Experience creating certification artifacts such as requirements, design documents, traceability matrices, verification procedures, test reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Skilled in hardware/software integration, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of safety-critical avionics systems.
  • Experience working with configuration management and defect tracking tools such as Git, SVN, Bitbucket, ClearCase, and JIRA.
  • Preferred experience in avionics platforms such as Flight Management Systems, Display Systems, Mission Computers, Flight Control Systems, and Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA).

Domain: Aerospace / Avionics / Defense Systems
Certification Exposure: DO-254 DAL A/B/C Preferred.
