Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Information Technology Associates to provide support for Navy information systems, networks, and related equipment in support of NAVSEA Professional Support Services for Engineering Support.

Responsibilities include:

• Provides foundational and comprehensive support for Navy information systems, networks, and related equipment under direct supervision and as part of broader IT support operations.
• Assists in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software; troubleshoots basic technical issues; provides initial user support; and helps ensure the security and integrity of data and systems.
• Assists with hardware and software installations, performing basic troubleshooting steps, providing first-level technical support to users, monitoring system performance, documenting work performed, and adhering to security protocols.
• Provides comprehensive support for Navy information systems and networks, assists in resolving complex issues and implementing improvements.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting support, network management support, server administration support, documentation support, and support ensuring security compliance.

Here's what you need (Required Qualifications):

Junior:

• A high school degree, or a GED, and three (3) years of relevant experience in information systems and networks or related functional area, OR
  • a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, OR
  • a master's degree in a relevant field.

Mid:

• A high school degree, or a GED, and ten (10) years of relevant experience in information systems and networks or related functional area, OR
  • a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years relevant experience in information systems and networks or related functional area, OR
  • a master's degree in a relevant field.

Bonus Points If You Have (Desired Qualifications):

• Knowledge of hardware, software, and networking; server administration skills; relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and Security+; and experience supporting Navy or DoD information systems and networks.

Security Clearance:

• Interim or Active Secret

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with additional years of experience, or a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, as outlined under the required qualifications for the applicable level.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, on-site at the Navy Yard, Washington, D.C.

Compensation and Benefits:

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,000-81,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
