Data Architect

Sogeti New York

As a Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, governing, and evolving enterprise data platforms that enable advanced analytics, AI, and business decision-making. You will partner closely with clients, engineering teams, and stakeholders to define scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technology roadmaps.

What you will do at Sogeti:

  • Design, document, and govern end-to-end data architectures across modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming architectures
  • Lead data architecture strategy engagements, including current-state assessments, future-state architecture design, and roadmap development
  • Define and enforce data standards, integration patterns, data modeling practices, and architectural best practices
  • Partner with data engineering, analytics, and data science teams to ensure architectures are scalable, reliable, and fit for purpose
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by translating business requirements into technical data solutions and presenting architectural recommendations to executive and technical audiences
  • Own architectural solutioning for data and analytics initiatives, including alignment with security, governance, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Support business growth through pre-sales activities such as solution design, architecture reviews, and contribution to proposals and thought leadership
  • Collaborate with alliance partners and internal teams to develop repeatable assets, accelerators, and go-to-market data architecture solutions
  • Continuously evaluate emerging data technologies and patterns to drive innovation and modernization across the data ecosystem

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data solutions
  • Strong experience across the full data lifecycle, including data ingestion, integration, storage, transformation, governance, quality, and analytics enablement
  • Deep expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), including dimensional and modern analytical modeling approaches
  • Proven ability to design cloud-based data platforms, with strong experience in Azure (required) and solid exposure to AWS and/or Google Cloud
  • Azure experience to include services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Purview, and Azure ML
  • Ability to translate business objectives into architectural decisions and clearly articulate trade-offs, risks, and recommendations
  • Comfortable interfacing with stakeholders at all levels, from executives to hands-on engineers
  • Working knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory considerations

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
