Summary

HMS is seeking a highly organized and detail oriented IT Project Manager, who will be responsible for developing and managing data analysis and reporting process for our NY TPL account. The successful candidate will work with the Account Management team and client to become an expert in both HMS and client data and reporting requirements, and will partner with HMS account, IT, and operations teams to develop, implement, and operate data reporting applications. While project management is an important part of the role, it also requires hands on development, data analysis, generation, and quality assurance of reporting deliverables.

Your role in our mission

  • Become a subject matter expert in HMS Accounts Receivable and Portal applications, develop a strong knowledge of HMS IT infrastructure
  • Ability to conceptualize, Plan, execute and oversee development and project implementations through the development lifecycle
  • Hands on data analysis and process development to bridge gaps and solve for data anomalies and evolving requirements
  • Ability to present in client meetings and engage various stakeholders on IT projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders
  • Works with Operations and IT resources as well as leaders to ensure key client deliverables, contract compliance and SLAs are met, and to mitigate risks
  • Day-to-day knowledge of State Information System initiatives, (State specific MMIS and Data Warehouse), experience in relational databases
  • Establishes and communicates project goals and objectives, defines methodologies, while communicating broadly to help ensure overall coordination for cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance of deliverables


What we're looking for

  • 7+ years' experience working in Health Information Technology
  • 5+ years project management experience, directly managing software development projects
  • 5+ years of Data analysis/Data and mining of complex systems and relational databases
  • 3+ years of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Commercial claims experience
  • Ability to read/write SQL
  • Strong communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate from PMI for PMP, CAPM and/or PMI-ACP, or willingness to obtain certification within a year

The pay range for this position is $130,600.00 - $185,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
