Location: Chicago, IL (Peoria, IL & Broomfield, CO also considered)
Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Experience Architecture: Help define and evolve the digital Customer Experience (CX) portfolio, reference architecture, and multi-product roadmaps.
- Hands-on Interface & Interaction Design: Deliver high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, user journeys, storyboards, and scalable UI components using Figma.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner actively with product managers, business analysts, domain architects, and software engineering pods to guide designs from discovery to production.
- Problem Solving & Systems Thinking: Untangle intricate business logic and workflows into streamlined, user-friendly digital tools for enterprise customers and partners.
- Design System Governance: Maintain and expand design system standards to guarantee usability, visual consistency, and accessibility across all touchpoints.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of digital/UX design experience, OR
- Master’s degree with 5+ years of digital/UX design experience.
- Tooling: 3+ years of hands-on expertise with modern UI/UX design tools, including minimum 1–2+ years dedicated proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, components, interactive states).
- Complex Digital Delivery: Demonstrated experience designing multi-faceted digital platforms, enterprise applications, or B2B eBusiness solutions.
- Strategic Communication: Strong ability to articulate design rationale, negotiate trade-offs with business partners, and present actionable solutions to leadership.
