Job DescriptionWhat You Will Be Doing:- Managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.
- Maintaining database integrity and security, configuring role-based access control (RBAC), and setting up administrative accounts.
- Setting up administrator and service accounts.
- Maintaining documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.
- Interacting with users and evaluating vendor products.
- Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results.
- Providing advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.
- Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Evaluating open-source or vendor tools and participating in database migration/special modernization projects.
- Collaborating with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Planning and executing database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participating in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
Required SkillsMust Have:- MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- 5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.
- PostgreSQL experience.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
- Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions.
- Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts.
- Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies.
- Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data.
- Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning.
- Migration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgresSQL.
Desired SkillsNice to Have:- Oracle database administration.
Additional DetailsCompensation & Benefits: This position has an anticipated salary range of $125,800 - $170,200 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, education, certifications, and business needs.
