Location: Wayne, Pennsylvania (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking two Level 2 Packaging Engineers to support endpoint packaging and patching operations in a large-scale Microsoft Intune environment of approximately 30,000 Windows 10/11 endpoints. These roles will provide hands-on support for application packaging, deployment, and patching. The objective is to improve deployment reliability, enforce change control, and support incident response and remediation within established governance and standardized processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle ServiceNow (PSR) requests for application packaging and publishing in an enterprise environment.
- Package, publish, and deploy applications and patches using Microsoft Intune as the primary tool.
- Utilize PSADT and PowerShell scripting for deployment tasks.
- Work with SCCM in a co-management model for a critical tier of devices requiring controlled deployment windows.
- Collaborate with a vulnerability and patching team that provides requests for packaging.
- Support an ongoing Windows 11 upgrade initiative, requiring packaging support across both Windows 10 and 11.
- Diagnose and resolve deployment failures, endpoint issues, and incidents escalated from support teams.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support rollback activities during incidents.
- Track deployment health, success/failure rates, and patch compliance using Intune and telemetry tools.
- Follow standardized processes, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years in enterprise application packaging and deployment (Win32, MSI, IntuneWin). Proven ability to resolve production issues, perform RCA, and support rollback procedures. Experience supporting environments with 10,000+ endpoints is required.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Windows 10/11, and security patching. Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities are necessary.
Work Environment
The current team includes approximately seven packaging resources, comprising a mix of full-time employees and contractors. These roles will be part of the Packaging & Publishing Team. The work is collaborative, featuring daily standups and shared responsibility among engineers. The positions require a hybrid presence in Pennsylvania, with three days onsite.
