Primary Location: Columbus, Ohio

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an IT Consultant 3/ ITC 3 for our premier client in Columbus, Ohio.

Education and Experience »

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong hands-on experience with HCL technologies (e.g., VOLT/IRIS, Foundry).
Experience configuring environments and evaluating application deployment pipelines.
Solid understanding of application architecture, integration points, and system dependencies.
Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting application code for quality, structure, and stability.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly in explaining technical details to nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Desired:

Experience with CI/CD tools or automated deployment frameworks.
Prior consulting or contractor experience supporting environment modernization or technical remediation initiatives.
Familiarity with best practices for application lifecycle management in enterprise environments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

Prepare documentation outlining findings, recommended remediation steps, and improvement plans.
Analyze and document current application environments (dev/test/prod), including configurations, integrations, and dependencies.
Assist with troubleshooting environment related issues, deployment failures, or configuration inconsistencies.
Conduct structured knowledge transfer sessions with internal teams to ensure long-term maintainability.
Review deployment processes and provide recommendations for improving efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
Review existing application code to identify defects, risks, technical debt, or areas requiring optimization and update existing code with enhancements.
Provide recommendations and best practices for code stability, environment management, and deployment automation.
Collaborate with internal IT staff, stakeholders, and cross functional teams to clarify requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
