Job Description

We are seeking a Research Technician (Molecular Screening) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology techniques, high-throughput NGS and/or qPCR workflows, and data analysis and a proven ability to maintain reliable screening pipelines, document results, and support continuous improvement of molecular processes.

Responsibilities:

• Execute a reliable molecular screening pipeline that supports R&D goals in genome editing discovery, characterization, and development.


• Apply state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques for quantitative high-throughput NGS and/or qPCR workflows.


• Design and perform experiments, including hypothesis testing, observation, data collection, and analysis.


• Document, summarize, and report experimental results to supervisors and stakeholders.


• Collaborate with multifunctional teams to share results and insights and provide technical support.


• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and efficacy of molecular processes.


• Comply with safety policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe laboratory environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biology, or a related laboratory discipline.


• Experience with DNA/RNA isolation and familiarity with NGS and/or qPCR workflows.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with databases and/or LIMS is a plus.


• Ability to maintain complete, accurate, and timely experimental records and procedures.


• Effective written and oral communication skills.


• Commitment to equipment custodianship and strict adherence to laboratory safety practices.


• Ability to work both independently and as a cooperative team member.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience analyzing gene editing experiment data.


• Hands-on experience with LIMS or similar laboratory data systems.

Role Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.


• Onsite laboratory role. Driving is not required.


• Special Equipment: Lab PPE provided.
