Job Title: Alteryx Platform Engineer (Contract/Contingent)

About the Role

As an Alteryx Platform Engineer, you will support the implementation, operation, and optimization of the Alteryx platform across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, Architecture, Platform Operations, Cloud Engineering, Security, and application teams to ensure a reliable, scalable, and secure analytics environment.

In this contingent assignment, you will also contribute to infrastructure engineering initiatives, participate in planning efforts, and help resolve moderately complex technical challenges across our infrastructure ecosystem.
What You Will Do

• Support and maintain Alteryx Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and operational monitoring across Windows and Linux systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets reliability, compliance, and scalability requirements.
• Review, analyze, and solve moderately complex infrastructure engineering challenges requiring evaluation of variable technical factors.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning and participate in the delivery of engineering initiatives and platform improvements.
• Administer multi-node Alteryx environments, including DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and load balancer configuration.
• Execute vulnerability remediation activities aligned with enterprise security standards and patching cycles.
• Support cloud-related workstreams and Alteryx integrations within Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments.
• Utilize scripting and API integrations (e.g., Alteryx Swagger API) to automate platform administration and enhance system efficiency.
• Work with MongoDB and SQL Server to support platform metadata, persistence, and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of technology infrastructure engineering or solutions experience, OR equivalent experience through consulting, training, military service, or education.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform support.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience supporting Alteryx Server, including maintenance, patching, and administration.
• Experience with Windows and Linux system operations.
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with the Alteryx Swagger API.
• Experience managing multi-node platforms, SSL/TLS, certificates, DNS, and load balancers.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB and SQL Server.
• Understanding of enterprise security standards, patch management, and vulnerability remediation processes.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Alteryx Server Administration Certification (required or must obtain within a defined timeframe).

Preferred Qualifications

• Alteryx Core Certification or Alteryx Server Administration Certification.
• 1+ years of Python development experience, including REST API integrations.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub preferred) and automated deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform fundamentals or participation in cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience installing and managing connectors and drivers for both Windows and Linux systems.
• Ability to analyze and optimize Alteryx workflow performance and recommend server configuration improvements.
