Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong data exploration and analysis skills, combined with hands-on experience developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Exploration

• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in complex datasets
• Clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Perform statistical analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives
• Develop hypotheses and test them using appropriate analytical methods
• Document findings and methodologies for knowledge sharing and reproducibility

Power BI Development & Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Create compelling data visualizations that communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Implement DAX calculations and measures to support advanced analytics requirements
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and user experience
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions

Data Management

• Work with SQL databases to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
• Build and maintain data pipelines to support reporting and analysis workflows
• Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources
• Document data sources, definitions, and transformation logic

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and provide data-driven recommendations
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices development

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor''s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• 1-2 years of professional experience in data analysis or related role
• Demonstrated experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI

Technical Skills

• Power BI: Hands-on experience creating reports, dashboards, and data models; proficiency with DAX
• Data Analysis: Strong skills in exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and data visualization
• SQL: Proficient in writing queries to extract and manipulate data
• Python or R: Basic to intermediate programming skills for data analysis
• Excel: Advanced skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis features
• Statistics: Understanding of statistical concepts and their practical application
