Job Description

Role Overview
This Systems Integration & Test Engineer I role supports the planning, execution, and evaluation of system and subsystem testing for complex space programs. You will help translate requirements into test solutions, support integration activities, analyze test results, and document system performance to ensure mission readiness.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and support test plans, test procedures, and integration strategies for systems, subsystems, and components.
Execute integration and testing activities for in-house developed and commercial/government-off-the-shelf components.
Translate customer and program requirements into testable system-level solutions.
Identify and resolve hardware and software interface issues during integration.
Define test inputs, outputs, and validation criteria to support system performance verification.
Review and refine requirements to ensure they are testable and traceable.
Coordinate test activities with engineering teams and program stakeholders.
Analyze test results and document system or subsystem performance evaluations.
Document discrepancies, support issue tracking, and perform regression testing to validate fixes.

Work Environment
Second shift schedule supporting active program integration and test operations.
Collaborative engineering environment working across multiple technical disciplines.
Hands-on work in lab, test, or integration settings supporting space systems development.
Coordination with program teams, subsystem engineers, and test stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Willingness and ability to work second shift as part of a scheduled operations environment.
Foundational understanding of systems integration and test activities (coursework, internship, or professional experience).
Ability to develop or execute test procedures and test plans.
Ability to analyze requirements and support verification and validation of systems.
Ability to write technical documentation, including test procedures, test results, and discrepancy reports.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and work in a special access environment.

Desired skills

Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
Exposure to hardware/software integration environments.
Familiarity with systems engineering concepts (requirements, interfaces, validation).
Experience supporting test execution or troubleshooting in a lab or development setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $60,200 - $106,030. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
