Duties

Help

• Help to oversee the organization's communications security program.
• Create, edit or modify POAM data for specific enclaves, reviewing imported data within Xacta and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System ensuring it is reflective of the current system state with assistance.
• Responsible for submission of the Cybersecurity Hardening Scorecard and maintaining the overall hardware and software inventory lists.
• Conduct system and user auditing of the Local Registration Authority and Registration Authority information systems with assistance.
• Conduct reviews of threats or vulnerabilities in the network utilizing the tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning tool with assistance.
• Assist in the preparation of distribution, and maintaining of plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the security of operations of automated systems and for security procedures governing network operations.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
• This position is a testing designated position (TDP). The incumbent of this position must agree to submit urinalysis testing on a recurring basis. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019.
• This position is designated KEY ESSENTIAL. The position cannot be vacated during war or
  
  national emergency without seriously impairing the mission. Employee is subject to alert and recall
  
  and subject to lockdown for extended periods
• This position is designated MISSION ESSENTIAL. Employee may be required to work
  
  overtime and other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  
  This is NOT an on-call position.
• This position is subject to a two-hour alert and operational recall and periodic work schedule
  
  changes to meet daily mission operational requirements.
• Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required approximately 5% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) ensuring appropriate Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts and documentation are uploaded into enterprise Mission Assurance Support System and Xacta; 2) assisting in ensuring all applicable Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) are compiled and received from the various IT offices to upload into Programs of Records (POR); 3) maintaining the hardware and software inventory lists within the applicable programs of record ; 4) and utilizing the tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scanning tool to review threats or vulnerabilities in the network.
