Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Reporting Analyst to support regulatory evaluation and data-driven reporting initiatives within a public sector environment. This role focuses on building advanced dashboards, managing complex datasets, and delivering actionable insights to support business decisions and modernization efforts.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful and user-friendly reporting solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools using Power BI and related platforms
  • Build automated monitoring and reporting solutions, including trackers and analytical dashboards
  • Develop and maintain data models and visualizations using Power BI and Azure-based data platforms
  • Integrate advanced analytics and AI capabilities (e.g., Python) to enhance data insights and automation
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources to create meaningful datasets
  • Perform data validation, testing (QA/QC), and quality assurance of reporting products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align reporting solutions with business needs
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Provide training and support to end users for BI tools and dashboards
  • Develop documentation including SOPs, user guides, and reporting standards

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboarding, data modeling, visualization)
  • Experience building analytics platforms and reporting solutions for decision-making
  • Strong experience working with complex and regulated datasets
  • Proven ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating meetings and working with senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering analytics solutions in large organizations or public sector environments
  • Experience developing business requirements documentation
  • Experience building analytical models and performing quantitative analysis
  • Strong business writing and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data ethics
  • Experience evaluating and applying advanced analytics and data strategies

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Work must be performed within Canada
  • Candidate must provide their own computer and equipment (Windows preferred for compatibility)
  • Secure remote access will be provided
